We are pleased to say that North Cyprus in general has not experienced the numbers of other countries with infections from Covid-19 and to date has had 108 cases, although sadly there have been 4 deaths.

The country has been placed in night time curfews and restrictions on movement for the last 7 weeks, which has proven to have been very effective in containing the spread of the virus
As of 4th May the government are allowing some businesses to reopen for business. Thalassa Beach Resort will be able to start the process of gradually getting back to some normality although still unable to take rental bookings currently. However, our office, maintenance, security and cleaning teams will be phased back to work from 4th May, which is great news. Any visitors to the resort will have their temperatures checked on arrival and everyone is required, by law, to wear face masks whilst out and about.

Sadly we are not yet able to open our resort facilities as yet, such as spa, gym, pool, beach facilities etc, however, the mini-market is available to residents for essential items.
We have a little way to go before we are able to welcome guests to the resort but it is only a matter of time, and we sincerely hope that when your own countries are able to open up travel once again, that you will be able to visit!
Thank’s for the updates, can’t wait to get back out there 🙂 Take care xx
Can’t wait to have you back at Thalassa Barbara!
