Thalassa Beach Resort & Spa has recently been used as the backdrop for a music video by singer Jamilya Jamba for her song Habibi, featuring singer Sattar and rapper Dr Sticky. How cool is that!
Jamilya is also a resident at Thalassa, saying, “everything about Thalassa appealed to me, it has a lovely atmosphere. It is calm and peaceful, the service is very good, with great facilities, but best of all I have a very beautiful sea view! I feel like a VIP living here.”
Jamilya started performing aged 10 and has been singing for 20 years, she also writes her own material. She has written five songs in collaboration with Dr Sticky and Sattar, including Habibi. They originally met over the internet and have kept in touch, now they are recording songs together.
When it came to making the video for Habibi, Jamilya suggested they film it at Thalassa. “I felt it was perfect for the video it is so beautiful with such lovely views.”
Dr Sticky and Sattar agreed so they filmed the video themselves and it is now available on YouTube.
Jamilya has her own show, Miss Jamba, which she performs in hotels, casinos and clubs and will start performances once again when the current lockdown is over.
